Melissa J. Dudley, PhD
Education and Credentials
Dr. Melissa Dudley is a licensed psychologist with over 10 years of experience providing counseling and assessment services for children, adolescents and young adults. Dr. Dudley earned her PhD in Counseling and School Psychology from the University at Buffalo in 2020. She also received a Masters degree in Social Work from the University at Buffalo in 2014 and is dually licensed in psychology and social work in New York.
Prior to opening Red Elm Psychology, Dr. Dudley has worked in both mental health and school settings, providing psychological services to a broad range of patient populations, including group and individual counseling, psychoeducational evaluations and neuropsychological assessments.
Dr. Dudley specializes in the treatment of anxiety and stress related disorders, ADHD, and mood disorders. She has extensive training in cognitive behavioral approaches for teens and young adults.
In addition to working in private practice, Dr. Dudley is an Associate Professor of School Psychology at Alfred University in Alfred, NY. She teaches graduate courses in counseling and psychotherapy, social-emotional assessment, and supervision and administration of psychological services. She also serves as the school psychology internship coordinator and provides clinical supervision for master's and doctoral-level students and post-doctoral psychologists.
